Robert “Bob” Quintal and Geraldine Makucin met while working at Prudential Insurance Company. Bob, working as a debit salesman, and Gerry, working in administration, had an immediate connection. Since dating co-workers was prohibited under company policy, Bob left Prudential to marry Gerry. Not soon after, the Quintals opened the doors to The Quintal Agency in 1964. In addition to the insurance agency, Bob and Gerry also once owned and operated both a travel and real estate agency. After running the insurance agency for 31 years, they passed the reigns on to their daughter, Lynne, whom they taught the business of insurance, which she continues to do to this day.
